Her challenge was to compete in a brutal test of endurance in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. One of the toughest footraces on Earth, The Jungle Marathon is a 220km seven day self-sufficient race where athletes gather to swim across pirhana filled rivers, wade through anaconda infested swamps, navigate through jaguar prowling forests and in extreme heat and humidity.
50 of the 120 competitors finished.
Lowri crossed the line in 10th and third fastest female.
