Llangwm Male Voice Choir (who were placed 2nd in this years’ National Eisteddfod of Wales in Wrexham) have commissioned a new work by Owain. The piece, entitled ‘Llangwm’ is based on the history of the area near Bala, in particular the ‘Degwm’. Words are by Peredur Glyn. Cor Llangwm
Owain recently recorded with the Macedonia Symphony Orchestra in Air Edel, London. These were projects for BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru and S4/C.
Owain has been commissioned by Rondo Media to write the music for S4C’s Sunday night drama series Porthpenwaig. This is an 8 episode family drama based in the Lleyn Peninsula about the trials and tribulations of running a seafront tavern and guesthouse.
